  • Parent Education and Support

Building parent and caregiver capacity directly impacts positive outcomes in children, adolescents and young adults, and improves quality of life for the whole family. Parenting a child with special emotional, behavioral, developmental, or academic needs can be challenging. Self-care and maintaining adult relationships often takes a backseat to the immediate needs caregiving. We provide parents with emotional and practical support including maintaining self-care while navigating parenting challenges. Through parent education and coaching, we equip parents to meet their child’s needs and increase connectedness. We help parents implement strategies including co-regulation, establishing routines, modeling, visual supports, and developing advocacy skills in the school and community setting to promote understanding of your child’s needs across environments.

“The more healthy relationships a child has, the more likely he will be to recover from trauma and thrive. Relationships are the agents of change and the most powerful therapy is human love.”
